This is a Full Time, Exempt position with a starting wage of $40.98/hr. The position is open until filled and requires a resume with the application. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dodge County offers a generous benefits package. The essential functions of this role involve providing leadership in attracting, retaining, and developing an engaged workforce for superior service delivery. This includes directing and managing division staff, interviewing and selecting new employees, assuring training, providing coaching and counseling, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and preparing performance evaluations. The supervisor also recommends employee actions such as transfers, promotions, disciplinary actions, and discharge. They provide leadership and management to all assigned staff, directing them on policy, procedure, and state statutes. Supervisory coverage for after-hours on-call services (Child and Adolescent, CPS Intake and Ongoing) is also a responsibility. The role involves analyzing and evaluating service delivery, meeting with staff to discuss service plans and policy updates, and administering all assigned programs. Ensuring compliance with program requirements and reporting administrative and program services to responsible boards are key duties. Consultation on screening cases, crisis management, treatment options, and diagnoses for targeted populations, including after hours, is required. The supervisor contributes to long-range planning, organizational structure, and the overall direction of the Department, ensuring division programs align with County Board objectives. Evaluating department service delivery, conducting needs assessments, and recommending service priorities are also part of the role. Providing direction in response to changing trends, identifying service feasibility and cost-effectiveness, and determining annual division funding needs are crucial. This includes identifying funding sources, applying for grants, monitoring budgets and contracts, and recommending subcontracted services. Developing measurable goals to enhance the quality of cost-effective services and coordinating with County Finance for funding, grants, and resources are essential. Maintaining knowledge of current County, State, and Federal Rules and Regulations, monitoring legislative proposals, and keeping stakeholders informed are required. Negotiating and monitoring annual contracts with state departments and vendors, preparing annual performance reports, and performing duties of subordinate personnel as needed are also part of the responsibilities. Backup support to other HS Supervisors may be required.
