About The Position

Yamhill County has one regular full-time position for a Human Services Specialist I/QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) to provide ongoing clinical support in a voluntary crisis program setting to clients experiencing an acute level of behavioral health crisis. The person in this position will work with multidisciplinary teams to assist individuals in accessing resources, addressing barriers related to their mental health, and developing skills that promote recovery and advocacy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services related field
  • At least one year of relevant work experience required
  • Must meet eligibility to become credentialed as a QMHA through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO)
  • A license to drive in the state of Oregon is required in addition to an acceptable driving record
  • Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment
  • Must meet QMHA/QADAC requirements per State Medicaid rule
  • Will be subject to successful completion of a background check
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • General keyboarding, and computer skills (including working knowledge of Microsoft Office)
  • Dependable, organized, self-directed, detail-oriented
  • Ability to interact with co-workers, clients, and the public in a courteous, professional manner
  • Ability to prioritize a variety of competing responsibilities in a professional manner is critical
  • Experience working with individuals with serious mental illness, trauma, and substance abuse
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal health care programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits)
  • Must not be excluded from participation in federal procurement (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and non-procurement activities (Executive Order No. 12549)

Nice To Haves
