About The Position

The primary duties of this position would include evaluating and analyzing all child welfare service programs, compiling and documenting evaluation results, and providing technical assistance for casework improvement based upon findings from case evaluations. This role involves developing, arranging, conducting, and facilitating training appropriate for the identified needs of child welfare staff. The specialist is responsible for all Continuous Quality Improvement efforts, creating data reports to evaluate the quality of work performed and compliance with policy, laws, and standards. Responsibilities also include field visit training with child welfare workers, policy development for child welfare practice areas, data analysis, research and needs assessments, and PATH training. The position may be assigned other related duties and requires collaboration with community partners and activities as deemed appropriate by the Program Manager. Advanced competency in computer skills is required.

Requirements

  • Advanced competency in computer skills required
  • Master's degree from an accredited school of social work and two years of social work or counseling experience
  • Master's degree in counseling and two years of social work or counseling experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of social work and three years of social work or counseling experience
  • Four-year degree in a human services field or related curriculum including at least 15 semester hours in courses related to social work or counseling and four years social work or counseling experience
  • Graduation from a four-year college or university and five years of experience in counseling, a related human services field providing experience in the techniques of casework, group work, or community organization
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience
