About The Position

The Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiatives (TPPI) Evaluation Consultant is responsible for designing and implementing a strategic plan for ongoing evaluation of both the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program and the Adolescent Parenting Program. The Evaluation Consultant works on a team with the Program Supervisor, one other Evaluation Consultant, and three Program Consultants. The TPPI Team is responsible for general program administration. In collaboration with Program Consultants, the Evaluation Consultant provides ongoing consultation and training to local agencies regarding use of program data, evaluation, coordinating efforts of local staff to carry out the outcome evaluation plan, and writing evaluation reports. Other duties include contributing to the planning and implementation of program meetings and events, collaborating with key stakeholders, and assisting with contract execution.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public or human service administration or a human services programmatic field, from an appropriately accredited institution, and two years of human service experience, one of which must have been in human service program planning. OR Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of progressive administrative or consultative experience in human service program, one of which must have been in human service program planning. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, or social work from an appropriately accredited institution, and two years of experience in research and evaluation, using statistical methodologies in human service programs. OR Bachelor’s degree in one of the above fields of study from an appropriately accredited institution, and four years of experience in research, evaluation, and statistical application in the human service field. OR An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in evaluation of and/or management of data for any/multiple of the following public health/human service programs: adolescent reproductive health, sexual health education, home visiting, case management, and/or school health programs.
  • Ability to assess program data needs and evaluate potential database or data platform solutions (including vendor-managed systems, cloud-based platforms, and integrated reporting tools).
  • Experience monitoring and overseeing contractors/grantees to ensure compliance with program requirements, performance standards, and reporting obligations. This includes the specific ability to provide technical assistance and collaborate with funded partners to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and overall program performance.
