Human Service Worker at Vantage Point North - Part Time
About The Position
Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker at our Vantage Point North youth crisis shelter in American Fork, Utah. In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support, supervision, and guidance to youth ages 10–17 who are experiencing challenges such as family conflict, emotional distress, mental health concerns, trauma-related behaviors, housing instability, or other crises impacting their well-being. As part of a dedicated team, you'll help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment where youth and families can find stability, hope, and connection to resources during difficult times. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support and supervision to program participants
- Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines
- Assist with crisis intervention and maintain a safe environment
- Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately
- Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other team members
