Human Service Worker at Stride (Payson) - Part Time
About The Position
Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Human Service Worker with our Stride Program at the Payson Family Clinic in Payson, Utah! This rewarding opportunity offers a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour and the chance to make a lasting impact in the lives of children ages 5–12 who are experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. As part of our partial-day treatment program, you'll help create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where children can build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop the tools they need to succeed at home, school, and in their community. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm, patient, and grounded during challenging situations
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
- Must pass a background check and meet WBH hiring standards
Nice To Haves
- Experience or education in mental/behavioral health is helpful but not required
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support and supervision to program participants
- Facilitate structured activities, skills groups, and daily routines
- Assist with crisis intervention and maintain a safe environment
- Document client interactions, progress, and observations accurately
- Collaborate with therapists, supervisors, and other team members
- Model positive behavior and healthy coping strategies
