About The Position

Under general supervision of the Human Resources (HR) Department Recruitment and Selection (R&S) Division Recruitment Manager, performs administrative and paraprofessional recruitment and selection services in support of the R&S staff. Assumes primary responsibility for certain R&S tasks including, but not limited to, processing Recruitment Requests, posting job notices, assisting with interview preparations, background and fingerprint checks and R&S data entry. This job class is treated as FLSA non-exempt. Essential functions may vary among positions and may include the following tasks, knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not intended to be comprehensive listing of tasks performed by all positions in this classification. The Recruitment Technician provides all administrative and clerical support to the R&S staff. As an entry-level R&S job class, works to learn more about the recruitment cycle and ultimately become actively involved in facilitating all aspects of the process. Strives to become proficient in all aspects of the recruitment and selection process.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the history, culture, laws, rules, customs and traditions of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
  • Knowledge of the SRPMIC Tribal Government and its various departments.
  • Knowledge of the recruitment and selection process, methods, practices and techniques.
  • Skill assessing and prioritizing assigned tasks.
  • Skill identifying and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive and important information.
  • Skill with critical thinking and decision-making regarding R&S matters.
  • Skill preparing and maintaining detailed records and reports.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details.
  • Ability to meet due dates and deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work effectively and accurately in a high-volume, high stress work environment.
  • Ability to perform effectively as a contributing member of the work team.
  • Ability to communicate well with others using specialized and commonly used language to provide explanations to those for whom the subject matter is unfamiliar or difficult to understand.
  • Ability to use a personal computer including MS Office.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Graduation from High School or a GED equivalent is required.
  • One (1) year experience in an office environment providing customer service and administrative support using a personal computer.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a recruitment related work environment is highly preferred.
  • Work in a diverse, multi-cultural, high work volume and confidential information environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Selection Support: Assists the Recruitment Manager and Recruitment Specialists with all assigned aspects of the recruitment and selection process.
  • Recruitment & Selection Communications: Assumes primary responsibility for monitoring and disposition of the R&S electronic "in-box".
  • Recruitment Request Processing: Coordinates the Recruitment Request (RR) process from receipt to job posting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) Support: Provides technical and administrative support for recruitment activities through the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Job Posting Outreach: Assumes primary responsibility for managing and distributing job postings across internal and external platforms.
  • Interview Process: Acts as a "backup" to the R&S staff for candidate interviews as needed.
  • Background Checks: Supports the new hire background check process from candidate authorization thru to conclusion.
  • Miscellaneous: Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Recruitment Manager or Assistant HR Director.
