About The Position

Cable’s Roofing is seeking an experienced Human Resources Supervisor for their Tyler, Texas office. This role will support the day-to-day HR needs of a growing small business, encompassing recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, training, compliance, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate will be organized, approachable, professional, and comfortable working closely with both employees and leadership. This position requires the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, communicate clearly, and maintain well-documented and consistent HR processes.

Requirements

At least two years of hands-on Human Resources experience
Experience with recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, and HR administration
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to remain professional and composed during difficult employee situations
Strong attention to detail and documentation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Working knowledge of federal and Texas employment laws and regulations
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR-related software

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
Experience working with a PEO, HRIS, or recruiting platform is a plus
Legal, compliance, or construction-industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Recruit, interview, and assist with hiring for open positions throughout the company.
Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs, coordinate interviews, and help identify strong candidates.
Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including drug testing and background checks.
Manage and continuously improve the new-hire onboarding process and orientation.
Maintain accurate employee records, personnel documentation, acknowledgements, and required HR records.
Track and coordinate required employee training, including safety training, handbook and code-of-conduct acknowledgements, anti-harassment training, and position-specific certifications.
Assist employees with benefit questions, enrollment, and leave requests.
Support annual open enrollment and coordinate with our PEO and benefit providers as needed.
Assist leadership with employee concerns, performance issues, disciplinary documentation, investigations, and terminations.
Provide guidance to managers on employee-related matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
Help ensure company policies and procedures are applied consistently.
Stay informed on changes in employment law, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with general office, administrative, legal, and compliance-related duties as needed.
