About The Position

The Human Resources Student will partner with employees, managers, and HR professionals to support talent initiatives that help build high-performing teams across the district. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in various HR functions within the construction industry.

Requirements

Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human resources, engineering, construction management, or a related discipline preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Basic skills using Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic networking skills with the ability to develop and maintain HR networks.
Results-oriented and able to meet deadlines.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
18 years of age or older and possess a valid Driver’s License.
Available to work in Orlando, FL, full-time from May to August.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of change management methodologies an asset.

Responsibilities

Assists with research and general administrative support.
Assists with coordination and administration of onboarding, event planning, and training preparation.
Assists with updating and maintaining accurate databases.
Develops and maintains strong customer-focused relationships.
Values and models the solution provider and profitability culture.
Provides administrative support for employee questions, processes, and systems.
Maintains and prepares scheduled and ad hoc reporting as needed.
Provides support to employees and HRPD team via HRIS system and company communications.
Other duties as required.
