About The Position

As a Human Resource Student Worker, you will be an integral part of our Human Resources team. Your primary responsibilities will involve greeting and assisting guests, managing various administrative tasks, and supporting the HR department with multiple projects. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist guests in person and via phone, providing information and directing them to appropriate departments or staff when needed.
  • Handle various administrative tasks including data entry, scheduling appointments using Google Calendar, and managing correspondence.
  • Support the HR department with ongoing and special projects, ensuring timely completion and effective coordination. Examples may include: Assisting staff, faculty and students with completing the Form I-9, verifying accuracy and completeness. Supporting HR staff with various audits as assigned. Ordering flowers for qualified employee life events. Scanning confidential employee documents. Retrieving required information out of various HR systems as needed. Monitoring department email aliases and AskHR tickets to efficiently respond to inquiries.
  • Address and resolve inquiries or issues, utilizing creative thinking to find solutions and streamline processes.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating departmental records, documentation, and systems.
