About The Position

Student employees for this position must be current UF degree-seeking students registered for a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester. They must be able to maintain confidentiality with discretion, possess a high level of attention to detail, provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism, and establish an exemplary work ethic by being proactive, self-motivated, and dependable.

  • Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing time and labor and payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy.
  • Entering distributions for all newly hired employees and making changes as needed.
  • Review and reconcile departmental paylists bi-weekly ensuring appropriate payroll is calculated, recorded, and disbursed accurately for all employees.
  • Collaborate with the University Human Resource Services office, Payroll office, and other units as required to ensure accurate and timely processing and coordination of personnel and payroll transactions.
  • Receive, reconcile, and maintain leave records for all staff.
  • Communicate with staff supervisors to ensure understanding of individual employee leave use.
  • Generate reports related to human resource functions including but not limited to payroll, leave, and special compensation as needed.
  • Create and disseminate departmental communications specific to payroll functions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies, procedures, and deadlines.
  • Develop reports, handle special projects and other duties as assigned.
