The Job: As a Human Resources Specialist, you’ll be part of our Mission team working as an on-site employee.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of HR support experience, including payroll, benefits administration, and recruitment support.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and Spanish fluently
  • Basic knowledge of employment labor laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  • Consistently demonstrates highest level of personal ethical conduct, leads by example with strong values
  • Able to occasionally work additional hours to cover off shifts for communication rhythms

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Proficient with HRIS systems and software such as Workday, UKG and ADP, strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Processes Payroll, tracks time and attendance and manages benefits documentation.
  • Coordinates employee engagement activities and events.
  • Supports recruitment efforts by posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and handling pre-employment paperwork and screenings.
  • Coordinates new hire orientation, processes new hire paperwork and manages employee onboarding and termination procedures.
  • Maintains accurate digital and physical employee records, updates HRIS databases and processes employee status changes.
  • Responds to employee inquiries, assists with basic grievance management and directs staff to appropriate HR resources
  • Prepares reports and HR metrics to support human resource functions.
  • Acts as an HR communication liaison by preparing and distributing company announcements; ensures all communication boards and digital displays are updated regularly
  • Provides basic HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees
  • Assists with off-shift HR communication needs by working additional hours as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support business needs.
