Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field required.
  • At least two (2) years of Human Resources work experience with at least 6 months’ experience handling employee relations and workplace investigations required.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment law.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Must obtain Sexual Harassment certification within 6 months, and then maintain biennially.
  • Ability to travel required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Human Resources Professional Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts workplace investigations on employee concerns, claims of harassment, hostile work environment, discrimination, retaliation, breach of confidentiality, etc.
  • Serves as a resource on Human Resources policies, procedures and programs.
  • Provides support to department heads and employees to resolve employee relations issues.
  • May provide coaching and counseling to department heads in the area of employee training, corrective action/performance improvement, terminations, investigations, and employee complaints/grievances.
  • Performs special projects as assigned.
