About The Position

The University of Miami/UHealth has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Representative. The Human Resources Representative works with managers and supervisors within the School of Medicine. The incumbent serves as an integral member of the HRSS team by working efficiently during numerous times of crisis and often under very tight and stringent deadlines. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
Minimum 1 year of Human Resources or customer service experience

Responsibilities

Coordinates and conducts the onboarding sessions for new hires.
Provides candidates via email and phone the electronic onboarding paperwork.
Provides information on required documents for I-9 compliance.
Oversees front end processing of all drug tests, background screening and TB tests.
Follows up in Sterling to ensure applicants are meeting the deadline prior to hire date.
Processes new hire in Workday accurately and timely.
Provides new hires with relevant information on I am the U Orientation.
Completes the I-9 in Workday for new hire employees.
Follows up with E-verify if employment is not authorized.
Prepares new hire packages for scanning.
Provides support to HRSS Manager with special projects and audits.
Serves as back up for the front desk.
Supports department and employees by phone, email and walk in.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
