About The Position

BLADE is the leader in industry-leading production of state-of-the-art, fully integrated deployable solutions such as shelters, generators, environmental control units, air filtration devices and other engineered solutions primarily for the defense industry. We are seeking an experienced, proactive Human Resources Manager to oversee the HR function for our Geneva, Ohio manufacturing site. This role serves as a partner to the leadership team and is responsible for the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations. This role is intended to be onsite, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of direct Human Resources experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing HR processes, policies, and operational improvements is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Strong understanding of employment laws (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, EEO) and HR best practices
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, time management and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (UKG, a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • This position requires access to or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Accordingly, applicants must be U.S. Persons or must be eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce. A U.S. Person is defined as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or a person who is a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act (8 U.S.C.1324(b)(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees recruitment efforts, attends external recruitment events, participates in the interview/selection process and facilitates the hiring procedure to meet talent needs
  • Provides guidance to the leadership team on employee relations issues and actions, conducts investigations and mediates conflicts to foster a positive work environment
  • Administers the performance review process for front line employees and advises managers and supervisors on performance issues including performance improvement plans
  • Implements and enforces company and site-specific policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Serves a liaison between the Company and various government agencies including the OFCCP and state employment services
  • Administers employee benefits programs, assists with compensation benchmarking and assists the payroll administrator in submission and review of both weekly and biweekly payrolls
  • Manages new hire onboarding and coordinates training/development initiatives
  • Participates in site and organization-wide employee engagement activities to help foster and promote a positive workplace culture
