About The Position

Zoecklein Law, P.A. is a probate and litigation-focused law firm headquartered in Brandon, Florida. We are seeking a structured, execution-focused Human Resources Manager to administer the firm’s human resources functions and support leadership through consistent, compliant, and well-documented HR practices. This role is responsible for day-to-day HR administration and compliance while ensuring policies and procedures are implemented accurately and consistently. The position requires professionalism, discretion, and strong follow-through in a regulated, professional services environment. This is an on-site position. The Human Resources Manager supports firm leadership by administering HR systems, payroll coordination, employee onboarding, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and employee relations support. The role focuses on execution, documentation, and compliance rather than independent decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of human resources management experience preferred, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Working knowledge of Florida employment law and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience with payroll and HR systems such as ADP
  • Strong documentation, organization, and follow-through skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive matters

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the firm’s human resources systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, access controls, and proper documentation
  • Process and administer bi-weekly payroll, including review of timekeeping, corrections, retroactive pay, and prorations, in coordination with the firm’s payroll provider
  • Support recruiting and hiring efforts by coordinating background checks, employment verification, onboarding, and completion of new-hire documentation
  • Administer employee benefits
  • Complete and maintain Form I-9 and E-Verify records in compliance with federal and Florida requirements
  • Support disciplinary and termination processes in accordance with firm policy and applicable law, including preparing documentation and coordinating offboarding procedures
  • Assist with sensitive human resources matters such as reasonable accommodation requests, workplace investigations, attendance and performance issues, and employee relations concerns, ensuring appropriate documentation and escalation
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date personnel files and HR records in accordance with record-retention requirements
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by administering policies as written and identifying potential compliance risks for leadership review
  • Stay informed of changes in employment laws, regulatory requirements, and human resources best practices relevant to a professional services environment
  • Prepare and provide HR-related reports, tracking, and follow-up to support firm leadership and operational oversight
  • Assist the President and COO with firm operations and building facilities as needed.
