We are looking for a Hands-on Human Resources Manager role supporting a growing, mission-driven Continuing Care Retirement Community in Albany, Oregon. This position reports to the CFO and oversees employee relations, compliance, recruiting, and compensation/benefits for a workforce of approximately 300 employees (many part-time). The role supervises HR staff, partners closely with payroll, and serves as liaison to outside employment counsel. Why Us? Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years progressive HR experience
  • Prior management or supervisory experience required
  • Strong employment law and compliance knowledge
  • Experience handling investigations and performance management
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and decision-making ability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare, long-term care, or senior living strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational HR leadership and supervise HR generalist staff
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, and corrective action
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Oversee recruiting and partner with leaders on staffing strategies
  • Administer compensation and benefits and support internal equity initiatives
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and HR best practices
  • Collaborate closely with payroll and finance leadership
  • Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning and organizational growth
