About The Position

We're partnering with a growing precision manufacturing company serving world-class customers across aerospace, defence, medical device, robotics, transportation, and industrial markets. This is an opportunity for an experienced Human Resources professional to lead a broad HR function within a dynamic, non-unionized manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the VP of Operations, you'll oversee employee relations, talent acquisition, health & safety, workforce planning, compliance, and HR operations while leading a small HR team and helping shape the future of the organization. If you're a hands-on HR leader who enjoys being close to the business, visible on the plant floor, and actively involved in both strategy and execution, this role offers significant influence and long-term growth potential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively pursuing)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or production environment experience
  • Previous leadership or team management experience
  • Strong employee relations background
  • Full-cycle recruitment experience
  • Knowledge of ESA, OHSA, AODA, and Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR reporting

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the HR team
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters
  • Conduct investigations, conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and performance management activities
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee programs
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Advise leaders and managers on HR best practices and employment legislation
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment across skilled trades, engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership positions
  • Develop sourcing strategies and external recruiting partnerships
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives
  • Manage offer negotiations, compensation benchmarking, and recruitment metrics
  • Build talent pipelines for future growth
  • Support workplace health and safety programs
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning
  • Manage WSIB claims and return-to-work programs
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to maintain a safe work environment
  • Support health and safety committee initiatives
  • Oversee HRIS and employee data management
  • Manage compensation and benefits administration
  • Support training and leadership development programs
  • Track HR metrics and provide reporting to senior leadership
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes and systems
