About The Position

As our Human Resources Manager, you’ll lead and evolve the HR function across both Skybox Capital and its portfolio companies. This is a strategic and hands-on role — ideal for someone who enjoys building structure while staying involved in the details that make a business run smoothly. You’ll oversee payroll, benefits, compliance, performance management, recruiting, and culture initiatives, managing an HR Coordinator and working directly with leadership to align people strategy with firm objectives. Your work will directly impact how our team scales, collaborates, and thrives.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, and HR systems
  • Deep understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • A strategic thinker who thrives in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder; comfortable partnering with senior leadership
  • Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable — able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Passionate about culture, development, and creating exceptional employee experiences

Nice To Haves

  • Background in professional services, private equity, finance, or multi-entity environments a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the HR Coordinator, providing guidance across payroll, benefits, and compliance
  • Oversee payroll administration for Skybox Capital and portfolio companies
  • Manage and enhance benefits programs, including open enrollment and vendor relationships
  • Design and oversee performance review and bonus processes across entities
  • Maintain organizational charts and workforce planning tools
  • Partner with leadership on recruiting, onboarding, and retention
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and best practices
  • Implement HR systems, documentation, and scalable processes
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and team members, fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented culture
  • Lead year-end reviews and compensation cycles, managing timelines and communications across entities
