Lakeside Foods is excited to announce an opening for a Human Resources Manager at our Weston plant—a high‑impact role responsible for talent strategy, employee relations, labor relations, compliance, and engagement across the facility. This position has opened due to an upcoming retirement, offering a unique opportunity to step into a well‑established role and continue strengthening HR support for a key Lakeside Foods location. Experience with labor relations is essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • 5+ years of HR experience (required), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in labor relations, including contract interpretation and grievance management (required).
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship‑building skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM‑CP, PHR certification, or previous supervisory experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new‑hire orientation to support staffing needs across the facility.
  • Partner with managers and Corporate HR to understand workforce requirements, coach on effective interviewing, and ensure consistent hiring practices.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, corrective actions, policy interpretation, and employee development.
  • Oversee employee relations, conduct investigations, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws.
  • Administer benefits, leave programs, wellness initiatives, and maintain accurate HRIS and personnel records.
  • Support organizational development efforts including performance reviews, development plans, and succession planning.
  • Lead labor relations activities, including managing grievances, interpreting the labor agreement, preparing job postings, and participating as a member of the company bargaining committee.
  • Coordinate seasonal workforce processes, including migrant labor planning, compliance requirements, and agency relationships.
  • Build positive relationships throughout the plant, uphold Lakeside’s cultural values, and support employee engagement initiatives.
