About The Position

The HR Manager serves as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to site leadership, responsible for employee relations, labor relations, talent management, compliance, and workforce planning across fulfillment and distribution operations. In a union environment, this role is essential to maintaining positive labor relations, supporting collective bargaining agreement administration, and ensuring consistent application of policies and procedures. The HR Manager delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including employee relations, performance management, recruiting, training and development, total rewards, and compliance, with at least 3+ years leading, coaching, or developing HR team members.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a union environment, including labor relations, grievance support, contract interpretation, and collective bargaining agreement administration; prior experience supporting a unionized workforce strongly preferred.
  • Strong background as an HR business partner in a manufacturing, distribution, fulfillment, warehouse, or other operations-based environment, with specific experience supporting hourly employee populations.
  • Deep employee relations expertise, including conducting investigations, managing corrective action, driving performance management processes, and resolving workplace conflict.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders while balancing business needs, employee experience, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and labor regulations, with the ability to translate legal requirements into practical, site-level guidance.
  • Experience using HRIS systems and HR reporting tools; Oracle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Operations leadership, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, and Employee Relations to deliver integrated HR programs and workforce solutions that support site-level operational goals.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align site HR strategy with broader business objectives, translating enterprise priorities into tactical execution at the local level.
  • Build trust and credibility with employees, site leaders, HR partners, and union representatives to drive consistent, compliant HR practices.
  • Lead, coach, and develop assigned HR team members, ensuring strong execution, clear accountability, and continued professional growth across the HR function.
  • Provide direct coaching and guidance to site leaders on performance management, corrective action, policy interpretation, and leadership effectiveness to strengthen the overall management team.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging workplace culture through employee engagement activities, communication, recognition programs, and site-level culture initiatives that reflect Fanatics Commerce's commitment to its people and fans.
  • Support workforce planning, peak season readiness, and high-volume staffing strategies to ensure operational continuity and a consistent fan-facing product experience during critical business periods.
  • Partner with Operations leadership to anticipate and address employee experience challenges that could impact site productivity and the quality of service delivered to fans.
  • Promote a respectful and supportive work environment that empowers hourly team members to perform at their best, directly contributing to the fan experience that Fanatics Commerce is built on.
  • Conduct thorough, objective, and timely investigations into employee complaints, policy violations, workplace concerns, and performance-related matters, applying sound judgment and continuous process improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR workflows, leverage HRIS tools and data, and introduce more efficient approaches to workforce planning, reporting, and compliance tracking.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and local employment laws, labor regulations, and industry trends, proactively bringing forward solutions and guidance that keep the site ahead of compliance risk.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of HR practices, tools, and resources that improve consistency, scalability, and effectiveness across the site HR function.
  • Lead labor relations activities with discipline and consistency, including contract interpretation, grievance support, union-related inquiries, and day-to-day collective bargaining agreement administration.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, maintenance, and confidentiality of personnel records in accordance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and rapidly changing business needs in a fast-paced, high-volume operations environment without losing focus on quality or compliance.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for the site General Manager and site leadership team, providing reliable, accurate, and timely guidance across all HR matters.
  • Apply AI and technology to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
  • Use data and digital tools to inform decisions and enhance performance.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and adaptability in adopting new technologies and ways of working.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
