About The Position

This role is responsible for managing human resources functions within the hospital district, including policy development, employee relations, recruitment, and record management. The Human Resources Manager will act as a role model, adhere to hospital policies, and demonstrate efficient time management. Key responsibilities include drafting and managing HR policies, explaining policies to employees, conducting interviews, processing employment-related forms, preparing reports, and maintaining HR systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, with, at least 2 years of college courses in human resource services management or a related field.
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Hospital or Government experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word.
  • Communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to deal with others in an antagonistic situation.
  • Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures.
  • Ability to be truthful and be seen as credible in the workplace.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Ability to influence others to perform their jobs effectively and to be responsible for making decisions.
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Certification in HR Field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Draft and manage new HR related policies and procedures through the District approval process.
  • Manage and update existing Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide applicants with information regarding compensation, job benefits, and working conditions.
  • Use human resources management software to prepare and maintain records of employee hiring, promotions, transfers, or terminations.
  • Explain human resources policies, standards and procedures to employees to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct interviews and review applications to match candidates with job requirements.
  • Process various applications, employment, and enrollment, pay change information and other confidential forms.
  • Gather information & prepare standard to complex reports.
  • Maintain & distribute current employee information, policy & procedure manuals & other communications.
  • Perform duties involving employee communications, pre-employment screening, and routine questions on human resources.
  • Identify potential issues and grievances.
  • Maintain desktop computer systems to support human resources administration processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
