About The Position

ASGCO engineers, manufactures, distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components, all specifically designed for the above ground and underground mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, recycling, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. We focus on providing exceptional products and service to our customers with the best solutions for their conveyor and screening material handling applications. We are seeking a dynamic, experienced, and solutions-oriented Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions, ensuring the effective implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with the company's vision. The successful candidate will be a strategic and operational leader who is self-motivated, deadline oriented with a "can do" demeanor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 - 7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft platform, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS and payroll systems; payroll system implementation strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive information and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Self-motivated, strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must be hardworking, dedicated, and a fast learner

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to the HR Assistant, management, and other staff when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation, investigating allegations of wrongdoing and terminations.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR files, records and documentation.
  • Manage the administration of the 401(k) Plan, setting up meetings and answering questions from the staff while keeping them aware of any changes that may come up.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Administers and processes payroll in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage and administer the performance evaluation program and assist management in the annual performance and wage review process.
  • Communicate changes in employee policies and procedures and assure proper compliance is followed.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, investigations and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
  • Manage and oversee the company's health and wellness benefits including benefit renewal, open enrollment and ongoing benefit administration.
  • Acts as the point of contact for all disability/FMLA and unemployment claims (assisting the Safety Manager with Worker's Compensation Claims).
  • Must have a deep understanding of employment law, legal compliance, employment legislation to support compliance on all matters at the Federal, State and Local level.
  • Plan and schedule company events, service awards, outings and celebrations.
