About The Position

Autism 360 is seeking an energetic, organized, and people-focused Human Resources Manager to join their Charlotte | University Area center. This role is not a traditional corporate HR position; instead, it involves being a visible part of the center, supporting employees, onboarding new hires, partnering with leadership, navigating employee relations, and ensuring the smooth operation of the people and operational aspects of the center. The position offers variety, including interviewing candidates, coaching team members, addressing attendance issues, visiting potential in-home clients, and planning employee appreciation events. The ideal candidate is a people person, problem-solver, organizer, and culture-builder.

Requirements

  • Experience in Human Resources, employee relations, people operations, healthcare, behavioral health, or a similar people-focused role.
  • Approachable, professional, and comfortable having difficult conversations.
  • Ability to balance empathy with accountability.
  • Highly organized and able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to follow through on commitments.
  • Good judgment and understanding of the importance of confidentiality.
  • Initiative-taking approach.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment with daily variety.
  • Comfortable being on your feet, interacting with employees, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the center.
  • Comfortable driving to potential client homes within the required travel area.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Comfort traveling independently to family homes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the go-to HR resource for employees and center leadership, balancing employee support with the day-to-day needs of a busy ABA center.
  • Build relationships with employees, provide coaching and support, address attendance and performance concerns, facilitate corrective-action conversations, and partner with leadership on complex employee matters.
  • Interview candidates, coordinate onsite candidate visits, conduct new-hire orientation, and welcome new employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools, training, and resources.
  • Track new-hire assessments, competency requirements, and training milestones, while supporting ongoing employee development and required training.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the center, identify safety or operational concerns, support incident reporting, coordinate facility needs, and help maintain an organized, welcoming environment.
  • Foster a positive center culture through communication, employee recognition, appreciation activities, and consistent HR support.
  • Partner closely with Clinical Leadership, Recruiting, Scheduling, Intake, and Corporate HR to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Support attendance and staffing concerns, PTO coordination, incident reporting, onboarding, performance management, and center operations.
  • Visit potential clients and families to complete in-home evaluations for Autism 360's in-home services.
  • Represent Autism 360 and create a positive first experience for families during in-home evaluations.
