About The Position

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for policy and compliance? We're seeking a dedicated Human Resources Manager to lead and shape the future of our workforce. In this key role, you will oversee all HR functions and ensure strict compliance with government regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, supervisory, and leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and implement policy. Proficiency in ADP and a thorough understanding of Payroll/HR regulations are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR management, preferably within the security or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and experience with compliance in highly regulated environments.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a strategic mindset and hands-on approach.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and experience with payroll systems (ADP experience is a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM Certified Professional (preferred).
  • Certified Payroll Professional (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives. Participate in strategic planning and provide insight on HR-related issues.
  • Annually review and update company policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel matters. Recommend improvements, communicate changes, and ensure compliance with federal and state legislation, including Bureau of Security and Investigative Services regulations.
  • Design and manage the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, feedback, and development plans. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance-related issues.
  • Identify training needs and create development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Manage the full recruitment process, including onboarding, and conduct exit interviews to understand reasons for employee separations. Consult with legal counsel on personnel matters as needed.
  • Manage compensation strategies, including salary benchmarking, promotions, and bonuses. Oversee benefits administration, ensuring competitive offerings and compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Prepare and present reports on HR activities, including turnover rates, recruitment metrics, and employee satisfaction.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Implement and maintain payroll systems to ensure precision and efficiency.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures. Ensure fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.
  • Improve and maintain a digital filing system for personnel records, health benefits, and compliance with BSIS regulations. Manage workers’ compensation claims, unemployment requests, FMLA, and other leaves of absence. Facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR matters and organizational development.
