About The Position

The Human Resources Manager (plant) may be responsible for, but is not limited to, the following: providing support to the organization by overseeing recruitment, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance with labor laws. Acts as a crucial link between management and staff to align HR strategies with company goals and boosts productivity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; Or equivalent on-the-job experience in Human Resources of four years, or more.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

  • Ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems.
  • Proficient with and enjoys detailed work.

Responsibilities

  • Partners with the leadership team and Corporate Office HR team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR coordinator, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as assessing reasonable accommodations, investing allegations of wrongdoing, and discharge.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Oversee employee corrective action meetings, discharges, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Reviewing, auditing, and approving timecards, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and overtime.
  • Acting as a point of contact for payroll inquires, resolving discrepancies, and assisting with audits.
  • Ensuring adherence to labor laws, tax regulations, and generating reports on payroll, tax filings, and departmental budgets.
  • Compliance with OSHA and healthy and safety regulations to foster a safe work environment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor safety procedures.
  • Investigate accidents.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
