About The Position

Enviroscapes is seeking a Human Resources Manager to join their team in their Louisville, Ohio regional office. The Human Resources Manager is a key member of the regional leadership team and is expected to be a hands-on HR professional who can lead by example. This role involves aligning HR efforts with specific business needs, including organizational assessment and design, team effectiveness, people issues, and trends that contribute to the growth and competitiveness of the business. The HR Manager will maintain knowledge of existing and proposed federal and state laws and regulations, as well as company policies and practices, to advise managers and employees. The successful candidate will effectively bridge the HR team to Operations, demonstrating integrity, pride in work, reliability, follow-through, and an understanding of collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/management HR role
  • Working knowledge of Ohio and federal employment law
  • Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP)
  • Strong computer and analytic skills.
  • Highly effective, strategic thinker and planner with demonstrated project leadership, organizational, analytical, needs analysis, strategic business, problem solving and presentation skills.
  • Capability for thorough analysis; leading a data driven approach to strategy development and organizational management.
  • Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships within the organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new systems.
  • A process mindset with a continuous improvement approach
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and maturity including the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Flexibility and willingness to scale from tactical to strategic

  • In-office position with regular travel to branches within the assigned region.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drives implementation of HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and workforce planning.
  • Directly manage and develop the Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Coordinator, setting priorities, providing coaching and feedback, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Build the staffing strategy for exempt and non-exempt roles, participating with Talent Acquisition Specialist to execute on strategy.
  • Builds trust and credibility of the HR function across all levels of the organization.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of core Human Resources programs and identifies areas of opportunity.
  • Recommends new approaches, solutions and procedures to elevate the HR team’s performance.
  • Acts as an advisor and coach for multiple levels of leadership on strategic and tactical human resources issues.
  • Manages employee relations function to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and objectives are met; facilitates and coach’s managers through disciplinary process and professional development.
  • Leads safety initiatives with Operations Leadership. Primary point of contact for Workers Compensation claims.
  • Monitors and encourages programs that support active leadership and employee engagement.
  • Maintains and updates weekly, monthly and yearly KPI’s and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Leads communications throughout facility, coaching HR Team and leaders on appropriate means and language, and ensuring follow-up to input received through meetings and surveys.
  • Conducts weekly review of payroll processing.
