About The Position

Eaton’s Power Systems Division is seeking a Human Resources Manager to support its manufacturing/operations at the Waukesha, WI (Badger Dr.) facility. This role is a high-performing business partner supporting the Power Systems Division (PSD) operations leadership. The HRM will deploy large-scale HR initiatives, programs, processes, and transferable practices across PSD Operations, and lead other members of the HR Function in these deployments. They will lead all employee relations, labor relations, and ethics concerns with the sites. They will lead all performance management and talent management processes for the Operations teams. Additionally, they will coordinate Human Resource Programs and day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, divisional, and corporate guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years progressive experience in Human Resources.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience is acceptable if a graduate of Eaton’s HR Leadership Development Program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years managing people.
  • Manufacturing industry experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Industrial & Labor Relations or Business from an accredited institution.
  • PHR or SPHR certification.
  • Experience with the Eaton Business System (EBS) or other similar integrated business system.
  • Experience as an HR partner within a manufacturing plant helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a business partner, strategic solution provider, advisor and counselor for the PRD and PDRD business unit operations leadership.
  • Keep employees informed of all changes in HR policies and counsel employees on these policies.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement HR policies and procedures, ensuring plant HR policies and practices comply with applicable federal and state labor laws, including maintaining necessary files.
  • Participate in all HR Operating Reviews.
  • Direct employment activities, ensuring properly qualified employees are recruited and hired for company positions.
  • Lead the hiring of all HR Managers in North America facilities.
  • Ensure annual employee job performance assessments are conducted through the performance management system, including the annual goal setting process, the annual assessment process, and periodic feedback sessions.
  • Provide coaching and consulting to business leaders on effective performance management intervention.
  • Work with HR Managers to develop education/training programs to meet workforce needs.
  • Maintain good public and employee relations status.
  • Review all terminations of the 9 plants and provide approval to move forward with them.
  • Review all criminal investigations of the 9 plants and provide approvals.
  • Work closely with the Ethics Office on all Ethics calls/issues pertaining to the 9 sites, partnering with the sites to complete investigations.
  • Lead the closure of ethics issues and ensure reports are prepared for the Ethics Office.
  • Lead all manufacturing footprint projects from an HR perspective, serving as HR Lead on the project team to determine strategy and drive to completion.
  • Ensure the business has processes in place that comply with local, state, and federal legal requirements in employment and employment administration.
  • Promote the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels.
  • Administer compensation programs to ensure competitive pay practices through systems that strive to reward superior employee performance.
