About The Position

The Human Resources Manager is the head of the Division HR Department, overseeing and directing all HR related activities. This role is responsible for the successful operation of the HR Department within a modern, fast-growing competitive organization. Key areas include compliance with labor law, establishment and enforcement of company policies, and related disciplinary action, recruiting, training, quality procedure compliance, wage and salary ranges, immigration, and relocation. The position requires strong interaction with Forvia U.S./other business groups to communicate in terms of a globally adapted HR system issue. The HR Manager acts as a strategic partner and in-house consultant to upper management and counterpart managers, leading cultural change management. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing and hiring new employees, conducting performance reviews, planning and directing work, disciplining employees, motivating and educating subordinates, and guiding employees in their professional development. The role also involves supporting the VP of HR and Division HR Director in managing HR issues in line with business objectives, ensuring efficient payroll and administration processes including audits and bonus systems, reporting relevant HR information to the Business Group, and overseeing employee relations for the Division perimeter. The position also involves proposing continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction, capitalizing on knowledge, and sharing best practices/lessons learned across the organization and within the site, while committing to the highest ethical standards. All other duties as assigned by the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related/equivalent education.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years in managerial position.
  • Strong Human Resources background and familiarity with HR information & payroll systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of labor laws such as Wage and Hour, EEO Compliance, FMLA and COBRA, FLSA, Basic OSHA, Record keeping and Civil Rights Law as well as all Immigration related laws.
  • Ability to establish and communicate company policies to prevent non-compliance with the law.
  • Strong ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of management, co-workers, and subordinates.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and supports managers in building effective teams.
  • Sensitive treatment of confidential information.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, international environment.

  • Implement efficient and integrated strategies for staffing, recruiting, induction, training, career management, etc. at site level.
  • Implement and reaffirm Group HR policies and practices within the site, including "Employee Empowerment", part of the Forvia Excellence System.
  • Ensure compliance with I-9 and management of Visa administration.
