About The Position

The Human Resources Manager owns the management of excellent service and provides quality control oversight to all branches and departments by ensuring accuracy and efficiency in Human Resources. This role supports branch & department personnel with questions on benefit and Human Resources issues as needed on a daily basis. This position also serves as the supervisor over HR Specialist. The Human Resources Manager develops and maintains an understanding of all aspects of F&M Bank’s business vision, mission, values, business objectives, economic drivers, organizational structure and culture. The Human Resources Manager ensures that human resource programs/practices are clearly communicated and understood by management and employees across the organization.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a credit history check is a condition of employment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required in HR, business, or related field.
  • Someone who places an emphasis on progressive human resource practices; detail and goal oriented with the ability to efficiently organize projects, prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
  • A skillful, highly organized leader.
  • A top-notch, personable communicator who possesses superb written and verbal communication skills along with the strength and integrity needed to effectively negotiate, facilitate cooperation, and deliver programs to educate stakeholders and reinforce company culture.
  • Someone who is devoted to operational excellence, adhering to high ethical standards.
  • A person with the ability to exercise sound independent judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with management, supervisors, staff and vendors.
  • A great decision maker who can solve problems effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred but not required.
  • Human Resources Certification is preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of banking institution concepts, federal/state regulations, compliance, and policy and procedures helpful.

  • Drives the design of the human resource policies and procedures, while maintaining simplicity and scalability.
  • Makes recommendations using current human resources practices.
  • Negotiates, facilitates cooperation, and delivers programs to educate stakeholders and reinforce company culture.
  • Maintains focus to deliver results using solid critical and analytical skills.
  • Exercises sound independent judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with management, supervisors, staff and vendors.
  • Makes sound decisions and solves problems effectively.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
