Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Four or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and federal labor regulations.
  • Experience managing employee relations, benefits administration, workers' compensation, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and resolve employee relations matters.
  • Coach managers through performance management, corrective action, and employee development.
  • Draft disciplinary documentation and ensure fair, consistent application of company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with California labor laws, federal employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Maintain company policies, employee handbook, and required workplace postings.
  • Partner with leadership on risk management and organizational compliance.
  • Support OSHA compliance initiatives alongside Safety leadership.
  • Administer employee benefits programs and annual Open Enrollment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefit vendors and employee questions.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
  • Lead the company's performance management process, including: 90-day new hire reviews, Annual performance evaluations, Ongoing manager check-ins.
  • Partner with leadership on compensation recommendations, performance improvement plans, and employee development.
  • Develop initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and employee engagement.
  • Support internal communications and company-wide programs.
  • Help create an environment where employees can succeed and grow.
  • Supervise and develop one HR Generalist.
  • Manage Paylocity and HR systems.
  • Oversee onboarding, offboarding, employee records, reporting, and HR documentation.
  • Develop HR strategies that support company growth and operational excellence.
