About The Position

HERS Advisors has partnered with an award-winning full-service law firm who have an immediate need for a Human Resources Manager to work in their West Los Angeles, California office (5 days in office). The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for recruitment/staffing, employee relations, performance management and training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
  • 5+ years of human resources experience preferably in an HR generalist role.
  • Law firm experience is REQUIRED .
  • Broad range of functional human resources expertise, including employee relations and recruitment/staffing, and performance management.
  • Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment/staffing effort of all nonexempt staff positions as well as coordinate temporary/contract employee requests. This includes preparing job postings (Indeed, LinkedIn).
  • Oversee staffing recruitment activities, including establishing recruitment procedures and vendor relationships, employment references, and verifications.
  • Conduct new employee orientations for new hires including coordination of scheduling with various internal resources.
  • Manage the onboarding of all employees.
  • Coordinate annual Open Enrollment meetings and communication.
  • Provide coaching/counseling to employees/management regarding employee relations issues.
  • Development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safety, employee relations, and equal opportunity policies and practices to comply with applicable provisions of federal/state labor laws.
  • Manage leave of absence programs (short/long-term disability: FMLA, PFL, CFRA including LOA) and handle accommodations as needed in accordance with ADA standards.
  • Monitor daily attendance, determine staffing needs, and arrange for overflow assistance as needed (including outside help/temporary staff); approve requests for time off.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings/training.
  • Maintain and coordinate immigration guidelines/procedures.
  • Maintain personnel files.
