Requirements

  • Human Resources: 4 years minimum requirement
  • Must reside in the Minnesota metro area
  • Willingness to commute to different metro locations
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to lead organizational change and support a diverse workforce
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, compliance requirements,and HR best practices.
  • Recruitment: 1 year minimum requirement
  • CPR Certification or attain within 30 days
  • Must have 2 years of freedom from chemical use problems
  • Must pass a State of Minnesota Background Check
  • Must possess a current Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to use Google Suite and other computer skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field
  • SHRM Certification

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and communicate HR policies, procedures, and employment regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and all regulatory requirements (OSHA, DHS, MDH), including reporting and employee training.
  • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, workplace complaints, including conducting investigations or other employee concerns.
  • Lead the implementation and management of the performance management system, including performance appraisals, development plans, and employee growth programs that drive engagement and high performance.
  • Plan, direct, and administer employee benefits programs, lead benefit orientations and training for employees and their families, and recommend benefit enhancements that support employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop employee-oriented workplaces and programs that meet the needs of employees for meaningful work, growth, challenge, communication, and effective leadership.
  • Lead internal efforts as they relate to culture, core values, and employee engagement
  • Design, direct and manage a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
  • Ensure the President and executive team are aware of major challenges that could impact organizational goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the management level.
  • Establish an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs
  • Develop, maintain, and update HR and company-wide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient organizational practices.
  • Partner with managers to enhance communication, feedback, and recognition practices, and support them in applying the progressive discipline system consistently and in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to drive effective recruitment strategies, including job postings, candidate screening, interview support, and selection recommendations.
  • Establish the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversee the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
  • Establish HR departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
  • Oversee payroll review processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies in coordination with the payroll team
  • Oversee the organization’s Leave of Absence (LOA) programs, ensuring accurate administration, compliance with applicable laws, and clear communication with employees and managers.
  • Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
  • Lead compliance efforts for 245G and 245I by overseeing and auditing new hire files and ongoing personnel records to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.
  • Originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented; high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards; goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
  • Leads and oversees the HR team to ensure consistent delivery of HR services, compliance, and employee support.
