About The Position

The Human Resources Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining relationships by understanding business strategies and operations, attending client meetings, and assisting with presentations. This role involves communicating job expectations, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, as well as fostering a positive environment for sharing information and opinions. The manager is responsible for maximizing diversity through issue identification, coaching during the hiring process, and providing training. They will respond to employment-related legal actions and complaints by conducting investigations and partnering with legal counsel. Additionally, the role involves resolving employee and manager dissatisfaction, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and governmental laws and regulations. The Human Resources Manager will represent the organization in various capacities, including meetings with government representatives and resolving complaints. They will also contribute to team efforts by achieving financial objectives through annual budgeting, expenditure scheduling, variance analysis, and cost allocation. Staff maintenance includes recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and appraising job results. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge through continuous learning and networking is also a key aspect of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the requirements may be substituted.
  • Three years of experience or more preferred; including minimum of 2 years of management responsibility.
  • Experience with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word preferred.

  • Responds to employment related civil actions, federal agency charges and employee complaints by conducting investigations, maintaining documentation and partnering with legal counsel.
  • Resolves manager and employee dissatisfaction by investigating complaints and concerns; evaluating and offering possible courses of action; providing advice, guidance and direction.
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Ensures compliance with requirements, policies and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems, policies and governmental laws and regulations; advising management on needed actions.
  • Complies with federal, state and local legal requirements by studying and reviewing existing and new laws; auditing and enforcing adherence to requirements; rendering opinions; advising management on needed actions.
  • Represents the organization by obtaining, clarifying and verifying documentation of situations; meeting with government representatives which includes attending hearings and/or mediation; studying and resolving complaints; recommending remedies.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Allocates program costs by preparing operational and risk reports for analyses.
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting and orienting employees.
  • Maintains staff job results by training coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing determined Financial and Key Result Area targets pursuant to Company Plan guidelines.
