SUMMARY: As the Human Resources Intern, you will support the HR team with core people operations while also assisting with the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports that track key organizational metrics. This role is ideal for a student or emerging professional interested in human resources, data analytics, HRIS systems, or information systems who wants hands-on experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field
  • Detail-oriented, with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong ethical judgement and discretion
  • Collaborative and team-focused
  • Willing to learn and take initiative
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and revising work
  • Meets deadlines and communicates when a project may be delayed

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee file management
  • Support recruitment activities such as posting jobs, tracking applicants, and scheduling interviews
  • Help maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS
  • Assist with policy updates, handbook revisions, and internal communications
  • Support benefits administration tasks and HR projects as assigned
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team
  • Assist in building, updating, and maintaining HR and operational dashboards
  • Track and report on key metrics such as headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, onboarding completion, training compliance, and engagement indicators
  • Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
  • Support the development of reports for leadership, managers, and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with HR and IT to improve data visualization and reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection and reporting workflows
