Primary Purpose of Role The Human Resource Intern will support daily HR operations and gain hands-on experience across various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, training, and HR administration. This role is ideal for a student interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources and looking to learn best practices in a professional environment.

Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related fields preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship, co‑op, or hands‑on project experience (academic or extracurricular) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support new hire onboarding and ensure a smooth integration for new employees.
  • Help maintain and update HR records, personnel files, and employee databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Participate in organizing employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Assist with training and development planning, including tracking attendance and preparing training resources.
  • Support HR compliance by helping maintain documentation related to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide administrative support such as filing, data entry, preparing correspondence, and assisting with HR projects.
  • Collaborate with HR team members and other departments to support ongoing HR initiatives.
  • Assist with the hourly recruitment process, including posting jobs and communicating with the candidates.
