Known for our quality and reliability, we also provide exceptional sales support and product expertise. Position Overview: We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our growing HR team. This mid-level role will focus on managing leave and disability programs, workers’ compensation, compliance, time and attendance, and employee relations , while supporting engagement initiatives and HR operations. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in HR practices, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic environment where processes and programs are evolving.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience with exposure to leave management, compliance, and employee relations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or unionized workforce is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leave & Disability Management: Serve as the primary owner for LOA, FMLA, and disability programs, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Workers’ Compensation: Manage claims, coordinate with carriers, and support return-to-work programs.
  • Time & Attendance : Oversee timekeeping processes in ADP, troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and procedures; ensure compliance with state (IL and MO) and federal labor laws across multiple sites.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a resource for employees and managers, addressing concerns, providing guidance, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Engagement & Culture: Participate in GEMBA walks, assist with employee engagement initiatives, and help organize company events and recognition programs.
  • Policy & Procedure Development: Collaborate on creating and updating HR policies and procedures as our team and processes evolve.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support HR projects and initiatives as the department grows.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation as needed.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to improve HR operations and employee experience.
  • Serve as a flexible team member willing to take on new responsibilities as they arise.
