About The Position

As a Human Resources Generalist at Natura, you will be responsible for providing answers and guidance to leaders, managers, and employees regarding our policies, programs, and employment practices under the Director of Human Resources supervision. Additionally, you will assist with employee relations and employment law compliance. This position will build and develop effective relationships with the leaders, managers, and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of California and federal employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Google Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS platform
  • Must be 21 years or older

Nice To Haves

  • At least two years of human resource management experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP, SPHR or PHR certification
  • Prior cannabis industry experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Help to facilitate an orderly and efficient HR office environment that provides timely, courteous, and professional support to leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from leaders, managers, and employees, referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations and document interactions.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and employment law.
  • Develop, write, and present training on various HR topics to staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
