About The Position

This position will be a member of the John Muir Health Physician Network (JMHPN) administration team and will report to Manager of Medical Groups. The responsibilities of the position include overseeing a range of administrative functions related to physician medical groups' payroll, compensation, and benefits administration. This position is responsible for recommending and implementing approved, new/modified/existing benefits plans and policies. The HR Generalist will collaborate with the directors of specialty operations and medical group leadership. This position is also responsible for performing physicians' biweekly payroll audits, processing quarterly productivity bonuses, and managing leaves of absence. The individual will maintain all physician personnel files and ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws. The desired approach will be to foster teamwork and will work closely with executive leadership from JMHPN and specialty-based medical groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Required in - Business, Healthcare, or Related field; 3 years of direct HR Generalist experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 years Human Resources Generalist or other HR experience - Required
  • Experience in Human Resources - Benefit Administration - Required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • General knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational assessments, federal and state respective employment laws highly desired.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams, understand the organizational landscape, build relationships, and influence others toward a common goal
  • Strong skills in diplomacy; demonstrates personal traits of high motivation, team orientation, professionalism, and trustworthiness, and places a high value on treating others with dignity and respect
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday experience preferred)
  • Working knowledge of physician practice operations and the components and requirements requisite for successful patient care, quality and efficiencies
  • Outstanding interpersonal and group dynamics skills to inspire collaboration amongst staff of multiple departments and entities
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a drive to deliver outstanding results
  • A high degree of organization skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict timelines is required
