About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist, working under minimal supervision, will perform professional HR-related duties, collaborating closely with employees, the human resources team, and management to support the organization's operational needs. This role involves daily challenges, problem-solving, and working with smart, energetic, and dedicated people, with opportunities for growth and learning.

Requirements

  • Either a Bachelor’s degree in an HR related field, a PHR certification, or a minimum of five years HR experience.
  • High standard of ethics, integrity and protection of confidential data.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Independent worker with a clear sense of urgency and exceptional accuracy.
  • Experience with labor laws, EEO, AAP, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ACA, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Strong computer and HCM/HRMS knowledge.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills – specifically advanced with Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  • Excellent listener, communicator and collaborator.
  • Thorough knowledge of principles and practices pertaining to recruiting and its role within Human Resources.
  • Strong organization, time and project management skills necessary to prioritize and manage multiple, complex projects, potentially with conflicting priorities; ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person (a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) if the position involves work with engineering or manufacturing functions.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, implements and administers various Human Resources plans, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality when working with APP’s people and information.
  • Participates in the development of company and departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Carries out responsibilities in any of the following areas: Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Training and Development, Performance Management, Labor and Employee Relations, Succession Planning, and HR Data and Analytics.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, Talent Management and Employment Law.
  • A strong intentional focus on culture and alignment with the company’s values, beliefs, and behaviors in support of the business strategy and meeting the Key Results.
  • Utilizes Dayforce Human Capital Management system and Microsoft Office to achieve established goals and Key Results.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
