About The Position

At The Clearing House, our HR Department delivers essential HR services to internal client groups, helping drive performance and foster a high-performing, collaborative culture. We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist supports a broad range of human resources activities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and talent management. The role is responsible for both daily operational HR support and assisting in the execution of firm-wide talent initiatives, ensuring alignment with TCH’s Talent Agenda. The person in this position will support the HR Director in maintaining HR processes and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This position requires strong HR knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to act as a trusted partner to managers and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, preferably in the financial services
  • Solid understanding of core HR disciplines, including people analytics and reports, compensation, benefits, recruiting, and leave administration
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, corporate environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level experience with MS Excel)
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now and Workday preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze HR data, create reports, and present findings clearly

  • Knowledge of employee benefits such as medical, dental, 401(k), COBRA, and leave programs (STD, LTD, Worker’s Compensation, FMLA)
  • Experience supporting performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with the capacity to support larger HR projects
  • High integrity and commitment to excellence; ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • HR Certification a plus

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding Assist with full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and onboarding
  • Partner with managers to ensure effective workforce planning and hiring practices
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure smooth integration of employees into the organization
  • Employee Relations & HR Support Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and HR procedures
  • Partner with managers and senior HR staff to address and resolve employee relations matters
  • Support consistent application of HR policies and procedures across the organization
  • Serve as HR advisor and support enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Performance & Talent Management Assist in the administration of performance management processes, including reviews, goal setting, documentation and system support
  • Support employee engagement and development initiatives aligned with the firm’s Talent Agenda
  • Compensation & Benefits Support benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee education
  • Partner with Finance and HR leadership during compensation review cycles to ensure accuracy in increases, updates, and communications
  • HR Operations & Reporting Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations
  • Create and run HR reports; analyze and present HR metrics and trends to management
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance requirements
  • Stay informed of labor law changes and impact to HR practice and processes
  • Support all HR processes and management of HR systems
