About The Position

As an HR Generalist for Novolex, the successful candidate will provide support to the Human Resources Manager and the Human Resources Department.

Requirements

  • At least one year of related experience in a Human Resource position.
  • Basic understanding of Human Resource functions and record keeping requirements.
  • General knowledge of E-Verify, FMLA, ADAAA, and state laws.
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • Spanish speaking ability strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as point of contact for employees' questions and concerns.
  • Recruit employees for all hourly positions.
  • Welcome and onboard new hires.
  • Complete assigned reporting functions involving attendance statistics, turnover ratios, termination, hire and transfer data, and other information assigned.
  • Maintain time and attendance records in our timekeeping system.
  • Payroll processing
  • Assist in informing new employees of Human Resource policies and programs as needed.
  • Perform general office support functions and assists area employees as necessary.
  • Participates in GMP and food safety training. Follows GMP policy. Reports all food safety concerns with urgency.
