About The Position

Position Summary: The Human Resources Generalist supports DASCO’s mission by delivering expertise in multi-state payroll processing, employee relations, and leave and benefits administration. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll execution through Paylocity, while providing responsive support to associates and leaders. The HR Generalist plays a key role in fostering a positive employee experience, maintaining compliance across multiple states, and supporting core HR functions that align with DASCO’s culture and values. Key Responsibilities: Multi-State Payroll Administration (Paylocity) Process and audit multi-state payroll in Paylocity, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, bonuses, and deductions. Reconcile payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in partnership with Finance. Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements across multiple states. Support year-end payroll processes including W-2 audits and distribution. Employee Relations Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and associates, providing guidance on employee relations matters, including performance management, attendance, and workplace concerns. Conduct investigations, document findings, and provide recommendations aligned with company policy and legal guidelines. Support a culture of accountability, engagement, and respect through consistent communication and coaching. Assist leaders with conflict resolution, corrective actions, and documentation. Leave of Absence & Benefits Administration Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, personal, and state-specific leaves, ensuring compliance and clear communication. Coordinate end-to-end leave processes, including documentation, tracking, and return-to-work transitions. Support benefits administration, including enrollment, qualifying life events, and associate inquiries. Maintain accurate benefits data in Paylocity and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Partner with brokers and vendors to resolve escalated benefits issues. Additional HR Support Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Support HRIS workflows, reporting, and data integrity within Paylocity. Assist with audits, reporting, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Contribute to HR initiatives that support engagement, retention, and organizational culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably with focus in leaves, benefits, workers’ comp, or compliance.
  • Strong working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, OSHA, and state leave laws.
  • Experience with HRIS systems; Paylocity experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes with clarity and empathy.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and service excellence.
