About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist at XPO will support a successful onboarding experience for new employees by partnering with the Learning and Development team. This role involves conducting exit interviews and capturing data to identify trends for continuous improvement. The Generalist will lead day-to-day HR data changes in collaboration with a shared services team and assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and procedures, including data analysis in Excel. A key aspect of the role is supporting a values-based culture by driving employee engagement, coordinating activities, and analyzing employee feedback to create actionable items. The Generalist will also lead local internship and employee development programs, support HR duties such as reasonable accommodation requests, and draft communications on the internal social platform. Additionally, the role involves supporting the leader skip-level feedback process and training compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of experience as a Human Resources (HR) Generalist or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of payroll software, HRIS programs and Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced Excel functions such as vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • An interest in social media

Responsibilities

  • Support a successful on-boarding experience for new employees by partnering with the Learning and Development team
  • Conduct exit interviews and capture data to build trends for continuous improvement
  • Lead efforts of the day-to-day support of HR data changes in collaboration with a shared services team
  • Assist in the development and implementation of information regarding HR policies, programs and procedures, reviewing and analyzing data in Excel as needed
  • Support a values-based culture by driving the highest level of employee engagement. Assist with coordinating and driving employee engagement activities
  • Analyze employee feedback data to build trends and actionable items. Lead employee roundtable discussions
  • Assume the role of lead for the local internship and employee development programs with support from the greater HR team and leaders
  • Support with various HR duties including reasonable accommodation requests and drafting pertinent communications at the site and corporate levels on the internal social platform
  • Support leader skip-level feedback process, training compliance, etc.
