This position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units/locations. Oversee and control/direct multi-site HR responsibilities in accordance with the policies and practices of the Company, social and ethical business practices, and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. Administrator Support Provide HR leadership and support to include plant Recruiting, Onboarding, Payroll, Leave Administration & HR reports/analytics; being proficient in our HRIS system, creating presentations, spreadsheets, organization charts, orientation, etc. Provide general HR Administrator support for attendance tracking, Safety & Attendance program, learning & development, HRIS data input/maintenance, answering telephone inquiries, scheduling meetings, filing/record retention, grievance meetings, conferences, meetings, including; inviting attendees, reserving conference rooms, arranging for catering as needed, etc. Assist Sr. HR Manager on various human resources projects and administration of the location’s Labor Agreement. Keep associates informed of all changes in Company policies, and counsel with associates on policies and work-related issues. Anticipate the needs of HR business leaders and proactively address needs. Perform other day-to-day functions, such as, maintaining adequate office supplies and ordering other supplies as needed. Presentation materials, analysis support, project support Provide intermediate level Excel spreadsheet support (e.g. pivot tables, graphs, etc.) to meet necessary deliverables for HR Leaders (e.g. contract negotiations, organization structure changes, gap analysis, etc.) Provide advanced level PowerPoint support (e.g. SmartArt, org charts, etc.) in creating and developing presentation materials/tools, creating documents (e.g. competency materials, etc.), organization charts, etc. for self and other HR leaders to meet necessary deliverables. Additional data management support as needed. Gather and furnish data as needed – processes queries, reports and able to leverage all manner of HRIS systems (Ultipro, etc.), partnering with HRIS/Benefits/Talent/Compensation to provide data to Sr. HR Leaders, Directors, etc. to meet necessary deliverables. Planning and various special projects, researching and compiling information, preparing presentations, developing reports, etc. Manage special projects, as assigned, providing coordination as needed. Performs other related responsibilities as needed to support California Dairies, Inc. business objectives, and those of the HR department. Essential Functions Implement, direct and evaluate CDI’s Human Resources function and performance in designated locations. Act as a true Business Partner to, and be a part of local Plant Management, to help locations achieve their goals, budgets, and plans. Provide necessary support, advice, counsel, and guidance to line-management and employees in designated locations. Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale at each plant/location. Coordinate and work with employees, union officials and management in the administration of the designated location’s collective bargaining agreement. Establish credibility at designated locations with management and the employees with a high level of integrity and confidentiality in order to be an effective listener and problem solver of people issues. Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures of CDI, by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the business. Maintain knowledge of Company policies and HR programs, procedures, laws and issues. Understand the differences of federal and state laws, policies and programs and coordinate the integration and compliance of all such programs. Work closely with the local safety departments on overlapping areas. Follow all safety and working rules. Maintain the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and conducive work environment. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality environment. Excellent regular, full-time attendance in support of company objectives. Use initiative and judgment in making decisions, keeping with CDI best interests. Performs other related responsibilities as needed to support California Dairies, Inc. business objectives, and those of the HR department. Perform other duties as assigned.
