Human Resources Generalist

Heven AeroTechSterling, VA

About The Position

Are you someone who cares deeply about people and execution? Do you take pride in being Hungry, Humble, and Smart—someone who doesn’t just “process HR tasks,” but actually builds systems, improves experiences, and helps teams perform at their best? We are a fast-growing organization building advanced aerospace and hydrogen-powered systems. Behind every breakthrough engineer and every deployed system is a strong People Operations function keeping the organization aligned, supported, and moving. We are seeking an HR Generalist who operates as a hands-on People Operations partner across the full employee lifecycle. This is not a passive HR support role. This is a high-trust, high-impact position where you help shape how we attract, onboard, support, and retain the people building the future. You will be deeply involved in both day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of the systems that keep our organization running. Our Ideal Candidate: Hungry: You have a bias for action. You don't wait to be told what to do; you see a need—whether it’s a process that needs streamlining or a teammate who needs support—and you jump in to help. Humble: You are a "low ego, high impact" player. You are happy to roll up your sleeves for the "heavy lifting" of compliance and administration because you know that a strong foundation allows our whole team to succeed. Smart: You have high emotional intelligence (EQ). You know how to communicate complex federal regulations with a human touch, and you use technology (like AI) to work efficiently without losing the personal connection.
