About The Position

Eskola, LLC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide HR support across a multi-state/multi-branch structure for assigned region/branch locations. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Generalist acts as the primary point of contact for HR-related activities within assigned region/branch locations, ensuring consistent application of company policies, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR Generalist level experience, preferably with a multi-state employer; construction or commercial roofing industry experience preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal employment laws and state-specific labor regulations.
  • Experience administering FMLA and other statutory or company-sponsored leave programs.
  • Solid proficiency with HRIS systems (ADP WFN) and Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets company and insurance requirements to travel as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar) preferred.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding for newly hired employees in assigned region/branch locations, ensuring timely completion of all required documentation.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries within assigned region/branch locations, directing significant matters to appropriate internal resources as needed.
  • Provide general HR guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, benefits, leaves of absence, and workplace concerns and escalating issues as appropriate, while supporting a positive workplace culture.
  • Administer FMLA, state-specific leaves, and other leaves of absence for employees in assigned region/branch locations, including eligibility determination, documentation, tracking, and coordination with payroll as applicable.
  • Manage employee separations and terminations in accordance with company policy and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Respond to and coordinate unemployment claim documents/forms, including gathering documentation, preparing timely responses, and partnering with leadership or third-party administrators as needed.
  • Process and respond to verifications of employment (VOEs), wage statement inquiries, and other employment-related requests in a timely and confidential manner.
  • Conduct periodic HR audits for assigned region/branch locations to ensure compliance with labor regulations, internal controls, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives, including HRIS enhancements, process improvements, and new program rollouts.
  • Provide on-site and remote HR support to assigned region/branch locations.
  • Travel may be required on an as-needed basis
