About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist communicates openly and clearly, has high standards of accountability and confidentiality, possesses a strong technical aptitude and is highly organized. They are responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of Human Resources administration, recruitment and performance management. Their expertise will enable them to effectively partner with Jackson Rancheria management to provide guidance through the recruitment and onboarding process, provide advisement on the selection process, assist in the application of the coaching and corrective action philosophy, and support the department by offering flexibility in managed tasks, while maintaining a transparent and fair process.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in related field and a minimum of two years of HR experience, or a minimum of four years of HR experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Recruitment and/or Staffing role within a HR Department preferred.
  • Experience working with iCIMS applicant tracking system preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.
  • Effectively utilizes colleges, media, social media and community services to attract high potential applicants to build talent pools for current and future openings.
  • Coordinates participation and maintains relationships with job fairs, college career centers, schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  • Verifies, and monitors job requisitions and postings using MS Office Excel and iCims applicant tracking system.
  • Develops and places external job postings to attract applicants and monitors costs for budgeting purposes.
  • Advises and partners with hiring managers in the recruitment and selection process when requested.
  • Screens and interviews applicants, and leverages information obtained through the process to provide selection recommendations when requested.
  • Coordinates and conducts the New Employee Orientation process.
  • Assist HR Management in the design, development, and implementation of companywide training initiatives.
  • Oversees I-9 audits to ensure compliance with Federal regulations.
  • Assists HR Management in investigative process, and the development of corrective action documents.
  • Maintains and distributes the suspension list.
  • Coordinates the retirement severance process and prepares severance paperwork.
  • Processes and communicates attendance, administrative and retirement employment termination.
  • Audits termination files to ensure relevant documentation is included and develops termination note to files.
  • Processes unemployment claims and represents the Jackson Rancheria at unemployment hearings.
  • Reviews requests for policy and procedure updates and prepares recommendations for HR Management consideration.
  • Supports and fills in for the Human Resources Coordinator positions.
