About The Position

The Emerging Leader Program (ELP) in Human Resources is designed to provide comprehensive training and development in core HR functions. Participants will gain experience in technical skills such as safety, quality, scheduling, and customer satisfaction, alongside leadership training covering supervisory skills, performance management, and mentorship. The program also focuses on business insights including accountability, execution, risk-taking, and budgeting, as well as culture integration through communication, collaboration, and innovation. The role involves assisting with daily operations and administrative tasks, conducting research, collaborating on strategy development, participating in meetings, preparing documentation, and learning about HR policies, employee benefits, and responding to internal inquiries. The position is based in Charlotte, NC, and is 100% onsite.

Requirements

  • Have or will obtain a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Human Resources or Business by May 2026 or December 2026
  • Previous internship experience (preferably in Human Resources Management or functional area)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
  • Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement new strategies.
  • Participate in meetings and provide input on project progress.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Learn about the company’s HR policies, employee benefits, and other HR-related stuff to be able to respond to any internal staff inquiries.
  • Work with Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll and Talent Acquisition Team.
