Requirements

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to ownership, providing strategic HR counsel that balances family business values with professional standards.
  • Proven ability to partner with sales leadership to design and execute HR strategies that directly drive revenue and organizational growth.
  • Extensive experience in leadership coaching, talent development, and building a high-performance culture aligned with the owners' vision.
  • Expertly balances long-term strategic thinking with hands-on operational execution.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to navigate complex dynamics and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • High-level analytical and decision-making capabilities to resolve complex organizational challenges.
  • Proactively manages legal and financial risk while fostering a culture of innovation and growth.
  • Highly adaptable to evolving business needs, shifting priorities, and the unique nuances of a family-led organization.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and leveraging HRIS/talent management systems to improve efficiency.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resource management experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations and/or business growth initiatives preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with executive and sales leadership to align workforce planning, compensation strategies, and talent initiatives with revenue goals, market expansion, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Contribute to business growth by ensuring the organization has the talent, structure, and leadership capability to support new markets, product lines, and customer segments.
  • Oversee staffing, recruiting, and retention strategies that support both operational excellence and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Operations to manage labor costs, workforce planning, and organizational risk while supporting scalable growth.
  • Translate the company’s mission into actionable strategies, leadership behaviors, and employee experience initiatives.
  • Oversee leadership development, sales training, onboarding, and continuous learning programs to strengthen individual and team performance.
  • Oversee performance management processes that drive accountability, development, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain succession plans and pipelines to ensure long-term organizational sustainability.
  • Oversee initiatives that enhance engagement, retention, and overall employee experience.
  • Oversee all HR programs, including compensation, benefits, LOA, performance management, productivity, and occupational health and safety.
  • Oversee and support best practices for sourcing, hiring, and onboarding high-impact talent across all functions, including sales.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution, with a focus on fairness, consistency, and risk mitigation.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate organizational risk related to employment practices, workforce trends, and operational changes.
  • Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws; update policies and practices to maintain compliance and reduce liability.
  • Utilize HRIS data and workforce analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making, and provide strategic recommendations for leadership.
  • Stay current on HR technologies, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
